Reflective Narrative:
This course contributed to the fulfillment of the general education requirement for oral & written communication, critical thinking, and ethics. It is a course that is required for graduation, and many of the ways we learn to write and research, I used when I began my capstone project. There were four core novels in this class along with many articles that we broke down and discussed as a class. The analytical tools I developed while going through all of the articles and facilitations were essential when I began literature review for my capstone project. Below I have attached two examples of the essays I completed in this course which illustrate my development in critical thinking and written analysis of novels. I wish to develop my written analysis even more in order to make my capstone essay as strong as it can possibly be.

On the right is the final we had for this class, which was called the "Final Portfolio". It was an assignment where we took two former essays and improved them with the comments we received, and added a new essay at the end from our last novel. This assignment definitely taught me a lot about academic writing and how important peer & professor feedback is.
